Bio

Achilleas Chiras was born in Trikala in 1994. In 2015 he moved to Thessaloniki for studies and has been living and working there ever since. He studied and graduated from the Photography Department of I.V.T. of AKMI. From then on, he began his work in photojournalism, working at the same time as an intern at a Greek news agency. He is currently working as a photojournalist at the Athens News Agency (ANA-MPA) and as a correspondent for European Pressphoto Agency(EPA). He is member of the Greek Photojournalist Association.He covers current affairs, political and social issues as well as sports content. He has covered Olympic Games 2024 in Paris, France. Based in Thessaloniki, Greece.
